Courtny Tyler’s State Farm Insurance agency will be holding a Maricopa Appreciation Day on Saturday to say thank you to residents and to collect supplies for local schools.
Free hot dog lunches will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for anyone who stops by the office at 44480 W Honeycutt Rd, Ste 103, according to Tyler. “We ask that you please bring a school supply to donate for the schools of Maricopa.”
Some needed supplies include the following: #2 6 sided pencils, 2-pocket folders, box 24 count crayons, dry erase markers (blue or black), whiteboard erasers, pink erasers, glue sticks.
Teachers’ wish lists include: gallon sized plastic bags, Clorox Wipes, Kleenex, red pencils, hand sanitizers, paper towels, baby wipes, sandwich bags, Lysol spray, construction paper, containers of band-aids.
