Mama T’s pizza restaurant closes

Maricopa pizza establishment Mama T’s Pizza & Wings has closed its doors.

As of Thursday afternoon, the doors were locked, multiple calls to Mama T’s number went to voice mail and equipment was being removed from the restaurant, at 44870 W. Hathaway Ave.

Paul Scarlett, the primary owner of the business, which opened in 2007, could not be reached for comment, but one of his investors, Steve Northroup, said being involved with the establishment had been a joy ride.

“I remember when we first opened, we were swamped with orders and this young guy that was working for us at the time looked over at me and said this is great,” Northroup said.
