InMaricopa visited with one of Maricopa's newest business owners, Frank Bradstream of Maricopa Bug Busters:

When and why did you start your business?
We started Maricopa Bug Busters in January of 2014.

Explain your business in two sentences.
We provide general pest control for the city of Maricopa. No contract required, low prices and firefighter-owned and operated.

Why Maricopa?
Maricopa is our home. We saw a need for a service that required a neighborly touch.

How is your business doing?
It is a new business, and we are working to let everyone know we are here for them. Every month has been better than the previous month, and we have some great repeat clients.

What challenges have you faced?
Our biggest challenge has been getting Maricopa to know we are here for them.

What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my faith and my family.

What are your plans for the future?
Our plan for the future of the company is to grow and be able to serve only our neighbors in Maricopa. We want to be Maricopa's pest control provider.

What makes your business stand out from the competition?
We are a "mom and pop" small business. We offer no contract, low prices and the only person you will have treating your home is me. We call Maricopa our home, and we know the pests you have and where they hide.

What is your passion outside of work?
Everything that makes me smile and laugh.

What is your favorite book/movie/TV show?
My favorite book is my Bible. My favorite movie and TV show depend on the day.

Are you involved in any community organizations (charities, church, etc.)?
We have been active with our church, COC, Desert Star Gymnastics and have attended Maricopa Citizens Leadership Academy. Today our community involvement has slowed down with the addition of our business and the blessing of our two new foster children; our niece and nephew. We are now a family of 10. However, Talisha is finishing her business degree and volunteering with the local Girl Scouts.

Where are you originally from?
We were both born and raised in the Valley; native Arizonans.

What is the best place you have ever visited?
The best place we ever visited was Sedona on a hammock, just the two of us.
