The Maricopa Fire Deparment responded to a house fire around 11:45 p.m. last night in the 43000 block of Magnolia Road in the Senita subdivision.
On arrival, crews found an unoccupied two-story residence with light smoke around the home.
Firefighters entered the house and encountered heavy smoke and low visibility.
The crew performed a rapid search for anyone possibly inside but did not find anyone.
A small carpet fire was discovered inside a bedroom, and was quickly contained.
The fire is currently under investigation by Maricopa Fire Department investigators.
