Local musicians to hold free recitals

The Maricopa Music Circle will hold a winter recital featuring the Three Christmas Bouquets and the Christmas Story as told by Pastor Chris Ward at Calvary Chapel Maricopa on Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 18 at 2:30 p.m.

The recitals are free and open to the public. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance.

The program includes musical treats in many styles and from many periods — everything from Moszkowski, Bach, Schubert and Poulenc to Mel Torme, Leroy Anderson and more. There also will be seasonal standards and holiday carols, all in original arrangements created just for the ensemble’s instrumentation.
