The Maricopa Police Department will be engaging in DUI saturation patrols from Friday through Sunday this weekend.
Efforts will be directed at detecting and arresting drivers impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. Several officers, with specialized training in DUI detection, will be assigned to work these details.
Saturation patrols will begin each night and run until the early morning hours.
Remember that being “over the limit” means consuming any amount of alcohol or drugs that would impair your driving. If you plan on drinking, use a designated driver or arrange for alternative transportation.
