Maricopa Station excites local business owners

As the restaurants and shops inside Maricopa Station begin to open, current local owners see it as an exciting opportunity to expand business and grow with the city.

Starbucks has opened its doors, and soon, Sport Clips, Chipotle, Jersey Mike’s, Zoyo Yogurt, and Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers will be joining them. With coffee shop owners geared up for the challenge, other business owners around the city of Maricopa only see the opportunity to reach more people in a growing city.

“I honestly believe that it will bring more customers,” Yogurt Jungle owner Sharilynn Hewitt said. “This is good for Maricopa. We will no longer need to drive 15 minutes to find these great options. I am excited to see Maricopa thrive.”

K’Bella owner Karen Benedek is even less concerned about the incoming competition than Hewitt. Benedek sees only the opportunities from the city’s growth, and not the threat of competition.

“It certainly does not affect our business,” Benedek said. “On the contrary, it will be an incentive for us to get more creative when targeting new clients. We will keep working hard to maintain our good will.”

“I am excited, and I welcome new challenges,” Hewitt said.  “I trust my customers, and I know they will continue to support Yogurt Jungle.”
