Vintage Partners and the city of Maricopa are hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for Maricopa Station tomorrow at 8 a.m.

The event is open to the public and will mark commencement of construction of the development at the northeast corner of John Wayne Parkway and Smith-Enke Road.

Plans for the new project include a 7,800 square foot multi-tenant shops building and 3,300 square-foot, drive-through restaurant. Chipotle and Freddy’s Frozen Custard will be among the eateries stationed there.

"We are excited to continue almost 29 years of building in Maricopa," said Monty Ortman, partner with Vintage Partners. "From Rancho El Dorado to our latest project, we have been delivering great developments to this amazing city for many years and hopefully many more to follow."

The groundbreaking is scheduled to begin promptly at 8 a.m. and continue until 8:30 a.m.

Vintage Partners’ Walter Crutchfield, Mark Ortman and Monty Ortman will speak as will Mayor Christian Price and members of the City Council.
