One brother is home on leave from the U.S. Army. The other is about to leave for basic training.
The Blue Star Mothers of Maricopa organized a Hometown Hero Homecoming celebration for PFC Adam Rufenacht on Saturday morning. His younger brother Junior Canziani has already enlisted in the Army. See the gallery.
The Memorial Day weekend turnout of Blue Star Mothers, American Legion Riders, Maricopa Fire Department, Boy Scout Troup 933 and many others took Rufenacht by surprise at the Rancho El Dorado’s flag-lined entry, where he was escorted to the park.
