The city of Maricopa has received the award of excellence from the City-County Communications and Marketing Association for its Mayor’s Message television program.

“Every year, cities across the nation send in materials to the 3CMA to be audited and reviewed,” said Ruben Garcia, the show’s producer. “This shows that we are on the right track.”

The City-County Communications and Marketing Association is a nationwide organization for local governments aimed at improving marketing and communications.

Maricopa was one of several hundred cities to enter in the category of best interview/talk show program for a city with a population of 35,000 to 95,000.

“Ruben helps to create an interesting show, and it is an honor to receive this award,” said Maricopa Mayor Anthony Smith.
