The Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship hired business veteran Dan Beach as its executive director. Beach succeeds Tom Baxter, who led MCE since its inception last year.

Beach has more than 25 years’ business development and entrepreneurial experience, and has served as a trusted business advisor to entrepreneurs and growing business; specializing in marketing, branding, business processes and metrics and the transition from great idea to established company.

As executive director, he will focus on fostering Maricopa’s locally-owned business community and accelerating startups and local reinvestment. From identifying potential entrepreneurs to assisting existing businesses to community outreach to startup funding, Beach will provide front-line support for Maricopa’s talented, educated and technically-skilled professionals.

“Maricopa is passionate about creating new jobs, and our entrepreneurs are a catalyst for job growth,” Mayor Christian Price said. “We are proud of the training and tools available at MCE and welcome Dan Beach to MCE and the city of Maricopa.”

In his past experience as a business owner and advisor, Beach helped to start and grow new home-based and small- to medium-sized businesses and to develop and commercialize new products.

“I’m honored to be part of Maricopa’s future,” Beach said. “Every successful business in the world began with an idea. My goal is to help Maricopa grow into a thriving hub for growing those ideas into successful businesses. Whether you have a startup, an existing business or just a business idea, MCE offers the resources to help you become more successful and profitable.”
