Exploring Maricopa, we encounter Jacob Hart, a 17-year-old who has embraced this town as his home for the past 13 years.

Jacob, a true Maricopa native, appreciates the simplicity of our small town. He loves the proximity of everything, where you don’t have to go far to find what you need.

“Maricopa’s a nice small town. I like how close everything is. You don’t have to go very far to get what you need,” Jacob shares.

Currently, he’s exploring different interests, dabbling in landscaping work here and there. But what truly ignites his spirit is basketball. Jacob has been passionate about the game since the fifth grade.

“I like to play basketball. I guess yeah, yeah. Since about fifth grade,” he smiles.

He plays three to four times a week, a testament to his dedication.

For Jacob, basketball isn’t just about competition; it’s about the joy of running and playing the game he loves. He knows the court like the back of his hand, whether it’s a practice session or a thrilling game.

Jacob’s journey in Maricopa reminds us that sometimes, it’s the simple joys and passions that make life special.
