Standing in front of the apartments at Horizon at the Wells is Mason Whitted, a 22-year-old who has made our town his home for the past 12 years.

Mason’s days are filled with the wonders of aquatic life as he works at Solitude Lake Management in Phoenix as an aquatic specialist. For almost three years, he has been dedicated to his role, ensuring the well-being of aquatic environments.

What Mason treasures about Maricopa is its balance. “I like that Maricopa is close to the city, but not too busy. It’s nice and quiet,” he notes. The town’s proximity to exciting road trips, from San Diego to mountain hikes, provides him with endless opportunities to explore and enjoy life.

Outside of work, Mason has a passion for preserving the art of movies. He’s an avid collector of physical media, including Blu-rays and books. For him, this collection is a testament to his appreciation for cinema’s enduring nature. He values the security of having a physical copy, ensuring that the art of movies isn’t lost in the ever-changing digital landscape.

Mason’s presence in Maricopa reminds us to appreciate the quiet moments and to cherish the beauty of art that stands the test of time.
