The City of Maricopa Police Department recently initiated a crime-prevention program called Up Close.
This new program allows concerned citizens to meet and discuss current issues with MPD personnel while they are out in the community. MPD staff will be at the Maricopa Ace Hardware, located at 21542 N. John Wayne Parkway, on Nov. 1, from 11 a.m. to noon.
Residents are encouraged to come and ask questions about crime prevention or voice concerns related to preventing crime in their neighborhood.
