Newly dubbed Native Grill & Wings hosted a grand re-opening with the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce and invited guests on Thursday.

The event began at 5 p.m. with the guests sampling food and socializing, and the ceremony ended when the ribbon was cut at 6:30 p.m.

“We’re very happy with the results so far,” Native Grill and Wings owner Pat Kieny said. “There are a couple reasons we [made changes to the restaurant]. One, it was time to. And number two; we are now Native Grill and Wings instead of Native New Yorker.”

The restaurant debuted their new name and design to the community. Everything from the lights and paint to the bar top and TVs were upgraded. The interior redesign was meant to open the feel of the restaurant and appeal to a wider audience.
