Oasis Life Center School for the Arts offers creative classes

Maricopa resident Carrie Vargas wants to celebrate and elevate the arts in Maricopa.

To do this, she and other members of the community have formed the Oasis Life Center School for the Arts.

The program offers a wide variety of classes designed at helping community members discover their creative sides.

“Maricopa residents need a program like this to bring out their talents, and lots of other organizations are not stepping up to the plate to offer opportunities in this field,” Vargas said.

Vargas added that her organization eliminates the need for driving to the Valley to find a comprehensive program in the arts.

In five years Vargas hopes the program is housed in a larger facility and is pushing successful artists out into the world.

She added she would like to also be a larger part of the community, putting on shows and performances on a regular basis.
