Parishioners form Life Chain in Maricopa

Thursday at 4 p.m. parishioners from Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church gathered along a stretch of John Wayne Parkway.

It was the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision that had the effect of legalizing abortion.

The church members, carrying signs and waving at passing traffic, were protesting the decision and reciting the Hail Mary prayer led by the Rev. Marcos Velasquez.
