The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is coming off a historic year of drug enforcement.  In 2011, deputies saw the amount of marijuana seized double, while cocaine heroin and methamphetamine seizures skyrocketed.

The 2011 numbers reflect increased enforcement by PCSO patrol deputies which included the formation of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Smuggling Task Force as well as a historic, year-long joint investigation with ICE Homeland Security Investigations and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, known as Operation Pipeline Express.
