Phoenix police arrested a person accused of stealing a car before getting caught on State Route 347 today.

Cops responded to a west Phoenix home on the 7600 block of West Sheila Lane just after 11:45 a.m., on reports of a stolen vehicle, according to a Phoenix Police Department spokesperson.

“The victims provided officers with tracking information on the vehicle,” the spokesperson said.

Police surveilled the car until “tactical support units” stopped it near State Route 347 and Riggs Road.

“The suspect has been arrested and officers are completing the investigation into what led up to this incident,” the spokesperson said.

The suspect was not immediately identified.
