Missing Maricopa man could be injured, confused

Update 8 a.m., July 10: The missing man was found.

An elderly man left his Maricopa home yesterday and never returned. Police are asking the public to help find him.

Gregory Flusche, 74, left his Cobblestone Farms home yesterday afternoon after potentially suffering medical episode, according to the Maricopa Police Department.

Flusche drives a metallic-gray 2022 Honda CR-V with the Arizona license plate J8AONJ, police reported. His vehicle was seen this morning near West Honeycutt Road and Plainview Street. It was last spotted a few hours later at Cobblestone Farms Drive and North John Wayne Parkway.

Police believe Flusche may be disoriented and trying to find his way back home.

Flusche is 5’10” and weighs about 197 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, tennis shoes and a blue or gray polo shirt.

In an email at about 8 a.m., July 10, MPD spokesperson Monica Williams confirmed Flusche had been found, and he was unharmed. “We just got an update this morning that MPD has made contact with Gregory, and he is no longer a missing person.”
