POLL: If mayoral race today, Price would win big

1767

If a mayoral election were held today between current Mayor Christian Price and former councilman Leon Potter, Price would dominate.

That’s according to a recent online poll placed on InMaricopa.com’s home page last week.

The poll received a total of 1,189 votes. Price received 1,114 votes (94 percent) and Potter received 75 (6 percent).

Potter recently stepped down from his position as a councilman with an intention to run against Price for the position of mayor. Since Potter’s council seat was not up for re-election this year, he had to step down to run for mayor. His choice stems from Price’s unwillingness to publicly demand Councilman Bridger Kimball resign from his council seat because of a DUI Kimball received in December 2012.
