Readers say ‘no’ to spring training this year

Take me out to the ball game?

Maybe not.

The majority of readers who participated in an online poll on InMaricopa.com said they either don’t watch baseball or were not planning on going to a spring training game in the Valley this year.

Last week, we posed the question: Do you plan on catching a spring training game?

Two-hundred twenty-two people responded to the poll. Eighty-seven (39 percent) respondents chose the option “no.” Sixty-four (29 percent) respondents chose the option “I don’t watch baseball.”

But there are readers who do plan on enjoying America’s favorite pastime. Fifty-seven (26 percent) chose “yes.”

Fourteen (6 percent) chose “not sure yet.”
