Last Monday, eight days before the general election, we sought to get your thoughts on who would win the federal races in Arizona.

As of 6 p.m. Monday, 389 people answered our informal poll, which asked: Who do you think will win in the Nov. 3 election? We gave you the four candidates: Donald Trump and Joe Biden for president and Mark Kelly and Martha McSally for U.S. senator and the four possible combinations that could result in election night wins.

Not many will be surprised most respondents – 47% – said they think the GOP tandem of Trump and McSally will be victorious. Nearly 41% said they believe the Democrats – Biden and Kelly – will turn the state blue. The idea of a split ticket winning wasn’t very popular: 10% said they thought Trump would win but Kelly would turn back McSally and a shade over 2% thought it will be Biden and McSally.

In a Facebook post promoting the poll, most comments were supportive of Trump.

Lyn Leishman wrote: “Trump he must win or were all screwed.”

But Carla Morris disagreed, posting five blue emoji hearts in a row.
