Preliminary reports do not indicate fight in Rancho El Dorado had gang ties

A fight between an undisclosed number of teenagers took place Thursday evening in Rancho El Dorado, Maricopa Police said today.

Sergeant Stephen Judd, a spokesman for Maricopa Police, said early Friday afternoon that he could not yet comment on exactly what took place and whether anyone was injured.

“I didn’t find out if there was anybody who was willing to be a victim,” Judd said, adding that he also had not received any information that the responding officers had reason to believe it was gang-related.

“At this point, it is just preliminary information,” he said.
