Red-Black Soda Scrimmage hoping for lots of fans, soda

173

Get those 12-packs of soda out of your fridge or off the grocery shelves and bring them to the Red-Black Soda Scrimmage Thursday night.

New varsity football coach Cory Nenaber calls the scrimmage a chance for all his players “to get into live action and show us what they can do.” His intent is to split the team up evenly and “see what we can do on both sides.”

Fans who attend the 6 p.m. Red-Black Scrimmage are asked to donate 12-packs of soda, which the Maricopa Rams Football Booster Club will re-sell at regular season games. Fans also can donate bottled water or sports drinks.
