Great Wall Chinese Cuisine reopened Saturday after a month-long remodel.

“We wanted to have a new look,” Manager Jasmine Lee said. “It’s exciting to have a facelift to hopefully attract new business.”

“Our friends liked the food, but they didn’t like coming here before because they thought it was a little rundown,” customer Deborah Leonard said.

The restaurant has been repainted, and there is new molding, wood floors and a remodeled bathroom.

“People are excited for us to be re-opening,” Lee said. “We have been receiving a lot of calls the past few weeks.”

“We come here all the time,” Leonard said. “They have great food and service and the atmosphere is much more pleasant with the remodel.”

New items have also been added to the restaurant’s signature buffet including prime rib, pineapple chicken and fajita steak.

Great Wall is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. The restaurant, located in the Bashas’ plaza at 20928 N. John Wayne Parkway, also offers takeout and delivery.
