Pinal County Republicans celebrated the end of the primary election season at Eva’s Fine Mexican Food restaurant in Casa Grande on Primary Election Night with many candidates in attendance at a campaign event hosted by U.S. Senate primary candidate Jim Deakin.

In addition to Deakin, several Republican candidates were in attendance, including State Representative Frank Pratt, Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction candidate Dr. Beth Price, Arizona Senate candidate Matt Byers and Clerk of the Superior Court candidate Chad Roche.

In addition to the candidates, several members of the Pinal County GOP leadership were in attendance, including county chairman Marty Hermanson, Second Vice Chairman T.J. Shope, and Maricopa Republican Club Chairwoman Brenda Hermanson.  Several leaders from local Tea Party and 9/12 organizations were also in attendance.  They joined a crowd of upwards of sixty people who were on hand to learn if their favorite candidates would make it to November’s ballot.

“I think celebrations like this are important because everybody from the candidates to the grassroots volunteers work so hard on behalf of their candidates, and for Mr. Deakin to come to us and donate the proceeds of this event to the Pinal GOP says a lot about his character and his wanting to see Pinal County grow as a Republican county,” said Pinal County GOP Chairman Marty Hermanson.

“I have no doubt that we’ll be able to set our sights on taking the fight to the Democrats this November to take back our Congress and keep Arizona a Republican stronghold.”
