Residents can ask questions, get feedback at community town hall June 12

The city of Maricopa will hold a community town hall on Saturday, June 12.

Meant to be a fun and casual community gathering, this is planned as an opportunity for residents to have their questions answered, voice concerns and receive feedback about projects in and around the city that affect them as Maricopans.

Representatives from the city, as well as city staff members, will be on hand to answer questions and talk about projects.

Previous town hall topics have included the following:

  • Feedlots and air quality
  • Economic growth and development
  • Bringing a hospital to Maricopa
  • Youth and senior recreational facilities

Last September more than 50 residents turned out to have their questions answered.

“For a town this size to have a turnout like this is great,” said Mayor Anthony Smith at the time. “Many larger cities would beg to have this many of its residents show up for an event like this.”
