Rock out at Arena Sports Grill

Arena Sports Grill will put a new spin on karaoke beginning this Friday when it rolls out its new Rock-a-Roke campaign.

Rock-a-Roke puts bar patrons at the microphone, similar to karaoke, but instead of the music streaming from a CD, a live band plays it. The five-member group performs more than a 100 musical selections ranging from country to rock.

“This is a very unique experience that only a few bars in the Valley are doing,” said Bob Essex, co-owner of the Arena Sports Grill. Essex said the experience of singing with a live band is one that is much more thrilling and fun compared to that of typical karaoke.

To help keep the music flowing throughout the night and loosen up “wannabe” rock stars, Essex said there will be drink specials every hour on the hour.

“This is going to be a lot of fun,” he said.
