The inaugural Arizona Salsa Festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at Tumbleweed Park, 745 E. Germann Road, in Chandler.
Participants in the salsa contest will create hot, mild or unusual salsas (fruit salsa, shaved ice salsa and more) and compete for a $1,000 cash prize for the Best Overall Salsa and $500 cash prizes in their respective categories.
