Director of Public Safety, Patrick Melvin, and the Maricopa Police Department are pleased to announce the promotion of Sergeant Willie Payne to Acting Lieutenant.
Sergeant Payne joined the Maricopa Police Department in April of 2007 and has been supervising the department’s Traffic Unit.
Effective Nov. 24, 2008, Payne will assume the duties of lieutenant within the department. Payne’s specific duties are yet to be determined.
