The Optimist Club of Maricopa held its inaugural Bike Rodeo Saturday morning at the Maricopa Unified School District office.
Children received free bike helmets. The club purchased the helmets with money it received from the Pinal County Attorney’s Office’s RICO funds. The city of Maricopa and the Mesa-Breakfast optimist club also donated helmets.
The event was held in conjunction with the Maricopa Police Department and Maricopa Fire Department. Below is slideshow of the activities.
