Special city council meeting scheduled for tonight

While many Maricopans will spend their Tuesday scrambling to find those last minute Christmas gifts, Maricopa’s leaders will gather for a special city council meeting.

Items up for discussion at the meeting include approving a bid by Bowman Brothers Concrete, Inc. for the reconstruction of pavers at the entrance to Rancho El Dorado. The maximum amount of the contract is not to exceed $76,546.

In addition to the approval of the pavers contract, council members will also decide whether or not to renew a lease for the park and ride location.

Approval of the Maricopa Police Department’s alarm coordinator position is also on the agenda
