Nearly 60 percent of the 230 respondents to last week’s online poll — What should be done to reduce vehicle collisions at State Route 347 and Riggs Road? — answered neither speed bumps nor flashing lights would reduce accidents.

Twenty-one percent answered that flashing warning lights would help, while only 3 percent said speed bumps would make a difference. Sixteen percent answered oth speed bumps and warning lights were needed.
