Standard Pacific Homes was recently honored for the second year in a row as one of the Valley’s Best Places to Work. Announced on Thursday, Dec. 11, Standard Pacific Homes was proud to be recognized in front of more than 800 people as one of the top companies in the category for small companies with 50 to 99 employees.

Standard Pacific Homes was the highest-ranking homebuilder surveyed in the small company category. Building homes in Arizona since 1998, the Scottsdale office currently employs approximately 80. Nationally ranked by FORTUNE Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2006 and 2007, the Scottsdale office specifically sites the company’s dedication to balancing work and family life as one of the key factors for being a best place to work.

“Providing a positive work environment continues to be a priority, regardless of the fluctuations in the market,” stated Pat Moroney, president of Standard Pacific Homes’ Arizona division. “By serving our people well, they are better able to serve our customers and vendors.”

Businesses recognized as great companies to work for strive to create a corporate culture that fosters personal and professional growth. Companies were selected solely based on employee surveys that were evaluated and ranked by Kansas-based Quantum Market Research Inc. The surveys were judged on a variety of factors including: goals, objectives, vision, leadership, teamwork, personal growth and development, people practices, tolerance, and embracing innovation and new ideas.

Standard Pacific has built homes for more than 98,000 families during its 40-year history. The company constructs homes within a wide range of price and size targeting a broad range of homebuyers. Standard Pacific operates in many of the largest housing markets in the country with operations in major metropolitan areas in California, Florida, Arizona, the Carolinas, Texas, Colorado, and Nevada.
