State Transportation Board names new chairman

The Arizona State Transportation Board has named S. L. (“Si”) Schorr of Tucson as its Chairman, succeeding Joe Lane of Phoenix, whose term expired. Schorr has been vice-chairman of the board for the past year.

“The Board will identify priorities, strategic goals, and objectives for 2008,” Schorr said. “One top priority will be to deliver the state highway construction program as programmed. We are also looking forward to working with the governor and Legislature to craft and implement a statewide transportation plan.”
