Supervisors make constable appointment official

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors officially appointed George Hoffman of Maricopa to the office of constable for Precinct 8, based on the recommendation from the Citizens Selection Committee.

The appointment became effective Feb. 6.

Hoffman was one of six candidates considered for the position. Voters will determine in November whether he will continue to fill out the remaining time of former Constable Ralph Riley’s term, who retired in December (see Supersivors to name Precinct 8 constable”).
