This past week the city of Maricopa issued permits allowing four companies to conduct business inside city limits.

Among those four is Heather Botello’s Inkwood and More.

Inkwood and More is a new, home-based business that sells custom-made jewelry, art and more.

“A lot of people need custom pieces, but don’t have the time or expertise to create them themselves,” Botello said. “That’s why I opened this business.”

The venture is currently home-based, but features a cyber-store front at http://www.inkwoodandmore.com.

In addition to Inkwood and More, the city granted permits to Maricopa-based ventures Sherrie’s There While You Are Away, LLC, and JT’s Keys and Locks.

Mesa-based vendor Ernie Sholts was also granted a permit.
