Nearly 25 Maricopa High School ROTC cadets, led by Major James Alonzo, joined another 20 volunteers Saturday to stage Tortosa’s 5th annual Easter Eggstravaganza.
While the event ran 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Tortosa’s community park, the high school students, donning "Some-bunny to Help" T-shirts, assisted the community 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in every task from Easter Bunny duties to spinning cotton candy to cleanup.
About 600 Tortosa residents participated in the afternoon’s activities.
