Vargas, Glenn and Goddard for school board, ‘yes’ on Question 5

    With all Maricopa precincts reporting, the unofficial results from the Pinal County Elections Department show 54% (6,268 votes) of Maricopa residents in favor of Question 5, the city’s bond initiative for parks, libraries and other community amenities.

    3,973 votes (35%) were cast against the measure.

    Precinct results indicate the following new members of the local school board:

    Maricopa Unified School District Governing Board (3 seats):
    Carrie Vargas – 4,664 (37%)
    Lori Glenn – 4,494 (36%)
    Geoff Goddard – 3,942 (32%)
    Patti Coutre – 3,798 (30%)
    Tyree Miller – 3,008 (24%)
