Ten veterans have been sworn in as the new leadership of Maricopa’s Veterans of Foreign Wars organization.
The installation ceremony Thursday took place during VFW Post 12043 regular meeting at Native New Yorker on John Wayne Parkway.
Former District 10 Commander Don Taylor was on hand to swear in the new leadership, who will take command June 1.
The new leaders are Bud Ryan, Commander; Jack McLain, Senior Vice Commander; Gene Wood, Junior Vice Commander; Jin Terry, Quartermaster; Marty O’Dell, Chaplain; Aaron Thacker, Judge Advocate; Chris Gutierrez, Surgeon; Jim Hier, First Year Trustee; Bernie Crouse, Second Year Trustee; Dean Wyse, Third Year Trustee.
The VFW is a volunteer organization offering community service, citizen education, youth scholarship and more.
