The weekend storm that brought gusty winds and pelting rain to Maricopa over the weekend also blanketed the northern part of the state with snow.
Closer to home, snow fell about 25 miles south of the city on Table Top Mountain.
Sue Riley and her husband, Ralph, spotted the snow Monday morning from their house on Green Road off State Road 84. They took this picture around 1 p.m. Monday when the temperature was about 55 degrees.
“There are a lot of clouds, but you can still see the snow,” she said.
