Patriotic events bookend a light week of activities in Maricopa.

MONDAY
The Buddy Poppy Exhibit
at UltraStar Multi-tainment Center, 16000 Maricopa Road, continues from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as the VFW raises funds for veterans in need. They will also be distributing Buddy poppies at ACE Hardware, Fry’s and Walmart.

TUESDAY
Coffee with Friends of the Maricopa Library
is from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Maricopa Public Library, 41600 W. Smith-Enke Road. Join the Friends of the Maricopa Public Library for refreshments, conversation, and get acquainted with our Library.

Chamber After Hours Mixer is hosted by Tami Horne of Legal Shield at 5:30 p.m. at the chamber, 44870 W Hathaway, Suite 5.

The Maricopa Youth Council meeting is at 6 p.m. at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, Multipurpose Room A, 45345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Among items on the agenda, members will package items for the summer launch of Copa Care Packages.

WEDNESDAY
MUSD Governing Board
Meets at 6:30 p.m. in the MUSD District Office Administration Building, 44150 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Hwy. The board will look at the FY 2015-16 budget.

Making More Money/Haciendo Mas Dinero is hosted by MiEmpresa at the Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship, 20800 N. John Wayne Pkwy, Suite 108. Mayor Christian Price will be sharing in Spanish helpful information on sales strategies that can help you achieve your financial goals on the topic "Making More Money" for all kinds of business and organizations.

SATURDAY
A Flag-Raising Ceremony
at 8 a.m. at the Maricopa Veterans Center, 44240 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Hwy., celebrates the traditional Memorial Day, courtesy of the VFW.
