As the heat starts to make its comeback into the desert, Yogurt Jungle will be hosting its first “Free Day” to give old and new customers a way to cool down.

“I’m expecting more people if they haven’t had a chance to come and see what the place is about,” said owner Sharilynn Hewitt, who along with her husband, Alex Casillas, opened the shop in March. “With the free promotion, they will come in and try the product and hopefully like it and come back as customers.”

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the store, located in the Fry’s Marketplace shopping center, adjacent to Say Sushi and Pizza Hut, on April 26.

“I’m preparing for a crazy day, for sure,” Hewitt said. “It’s a good way to promote our product and for those who haven’t tried, they can try it, and, for those who already love it, they can come in and get a free one.”

During the promotion a customer will be allowed one serving of 12 ounces during the day. Toppings are included, but anything over the limit will be subject to a charge.

Customers will be able to sample any of the shop’s 12 regular flavors and mix it with any of the regular 55 toppings.

With the shop consistently switching flavors every five to six weeks, they will have cappuccino and orange as options.

“We will have the regular toppings that we always have,” Hewitt said. “Everything is the same, just free.”
