One person died following one of two crashes on Interstate 10 in Pinal County Tuesday evening.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., westbound I-10 closed north of Nelson Road after a fatal collision between a semi-truck and a pedestrian, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. An initial investigation suggested the pedestrian may have died by suicide, said a department spokesperson.
On Sept. 15, DPS could not provide an identification.
Another crash occurred just north of Pinal Avenue at approximately 6:20 p.m., closing westbound lanes near milepost 185. Details of the collision were not immediately available.
