5th graders give thanks

Mrs. Amy Hunt's fifth grade class at Santa Rosa Elementary School has been focusing on character traits such as integrity, honesty and being a good citizen. Through these lessons, students have developed a new appreciation and sense of value for others.

They collaboratively wrote what they’re thankful for during this celebration of Thanksgiving: 

“We are thankful for our freedom and the military service of those who help to maintain that freedom.  We appreciate doctors and the medicines they prescribe to help maintain our health. We are thankful for our school and teachers, for without them we would not be successful in life. We also are thankful for our homes, pets, our food and clean water. We are most thankful for the life that God gave us and our family and friends who care for us and others.”
