A Maricopa man was arrested on suspicion of punching his housemate in the face multiple times.

Monty Begay, 46, was booked into Pinal County jail on counts of disorderly conduct and domestic violence/assault.

At about 7 p.m. on April 15, Begay and Eric Wilson were talking on the back patio of their residence on West Molly Lane.

Home-security camera footage showed Begay suddenly clench both fists, repeatedly punch Wilson and wrestle him to the ground, Maricopa officers said.

Group-home personnel eventually broke up the fight, according to police.

Officers noted Begay had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of intoxicating beverages.
