A Maricopa man faces numerous charges after allegedly entering a vacant Senita home with two minors on May 31, police said.

At 6:52 p.m., on May 31, Maricopa police responded to North Meghan Drive on a report of suspicious activity. The reporting party said there were males entering and leaving a vacant home.

According to police, an officer tried to contact the people in the home. Two minors and one adult, identified as Treveon Smiley, 19, tried to flee through the backyard and were detained.

During a police interview, the minors said they did not live at the house and did not know who owned it. Officers attempted to contact the homeowner but were unsuccessful.

According to police, Smiley was in possession of a BB gun, alcohol and nicotine vapes. During a search of the home, officers found liquor in the refrigerator, trash on the counter tops and on the upstairs floor.

Smiley was booked into Pinal County jail on suspicion of criminal trespass in the first degree, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child endangerment, minor in possession of alcohol, criminal littering and criminal nuisance. The two minors were released to their parents.
