Maricopa police tased a man accused of illegally sipping beer and threatening to “f*ck up”
cops over the weekend.
Officers arrested 41-year-old Johnny Contreras on charges of drinking in public and resisting arrest, according to a probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa.
Just before 7 p.m. Saturday, cops responded to Walmart on a report of an unwanted man loitering after he was asked to scram.
Police found Contreras sitting on a bench outside the front door clutching a can of Steel Reserve beer.
Officers tried to handcuff the beer sipper, but he actively resisted arrest, according to police documents.
Contreras reportedly told police he would “f*ck [them] up” — he was then tased and successfully handcuffed.
Conteras was cleared at Exceptional Hospital and then booked into the Pinal County jail. He faces 22 months in prison.
