InMaricopa.com reporter Kyle Daly said farewell to a beloved pair of running shoes Saturday after participating in Maricopa's first Mud Run.
With an audio recorder in hand, Daly captured the sounds and documented the final run in the shoes he had trouble letting go.
The following is Daly's first-person account of the last moments wearing his treasured pair of athletic sneakers.
